The vision of Picayune Junior High is to serve as a bridge between childhood and young adulthood; expanding existing foundations while developing further skills needed to become a productive, successful citizen.

The McKinney-Vento Act provides specific rights for homeless students. These rights include waiving certain requirements, such as proof of residency,
when students are enrolling and allowing categorical eligibility for certain services, such as free lunch.

FAMILY SUPPORT IN EDUCATION
PARENT TRAINING
The Federal Programs Department of the Picayune School District will be hosting a district-wide training for parents to provide academic resources and strategies to families. The meeting will also include information specifically for parents of English language learners.
It will take place in-person at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 24th in the library at Southside Lower OR by Zoom with the link below.
